The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, with its world-class library, is located on the upper floors of one of London’s best-known Brutalist buildings: the Denys Lasdun-designed, Grade II*-listed Charles Clore House, on the corner of Russell Square. This project by Burwell Architects sensitively refurbishes the 1970s building that was in great need of modernisation, particularly in relation to its services and sustainability.
