RIBA Asia and Australasia supports a community of 2,500 professionals making it the largest RIBA community internationally, with chapters in China and Hong Kong.
The chapters respond effectively to the requirements of local members and the region through peer support activities. By harnessing the knowledge and expertise of those who live and work in the area, RIBA Asia and Australasia is able to promote architecture to a wide audience.
The chapters are formed as volunteer committees within the RIBA governance structure. We are represented at the RIBA Council through our elected international representative.

Please note: Volunteer groups in Sri Lanka, which operate independently of RIBA, also run their own programme of activities at local level. Unless specifically stated by RIBA, these activities are not endorsed by RIBA. These groups have no delegated authority to speak on behalf of RIBA.
