RIBA Middle East and Africa Region

We provide support to near to 1000 members across the Middle East and Africa region. We have an office based in the Gulf as well as a Gulf chapter which is managed by our members. The chapter provides a range of activities for members and non-members, including events, discussion forums and networking opportunities.

Through a wide range of activities in major cities such as Dubai and Kuwait, we support the delivery of the RIBA's vision to champion better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and our members. We are governed by the RIBA Council, which is made up of elected international representatives and local members.

RIBA Gulf Office

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has recently opened one of its first international offices in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The RIBA Gulf office makes the Gulf one of the institute's primary international locations. It is a key area of focus for the RIBA to further serve and support its global members in order to deliver better buildings and create a stronger community of architects in the region.

International Chapters

International Chapters enable members to come together as a community with common interests and shared knowledge, to enhance their sense of belonging and benefit from locally developed RIBA related services.
