The magnificent Withington Baths, dating from 1911, is the last working pool of its era in Manchester.
The facility was saved from closure by the local community in 2015 and has been successfully run as a not-for-profit community facility ever since by ‘Love Withington Baths.’ The historic building, designed by the City architect Henry Price, still includes extensive ornate floor and wall tiling, much of which has been restored, plus stunning internal and external stained glass. The original chimney and glass lantern roofs are also intact.
Join us for a tour with Seven Architecture, and hear about the conservation works carried out to further enrich this historic building and preserve it for years to come.
We'll meet at 5pm at the main entrance to the baths on Withington Road. Following the tour, we'll head over to the nearby Withington Public Hall for pizza and drinks.
Tickets include food and a drink. If you have any special dietary requirements please indicate on the registration form.
