Timings
The evening will commence at 5.30pm with welcome drinks, followed by a celebration of the 23 projects, with the final award announced before 8:30pm.
Location
Duke Street Riverside is a key building at Norwich University of the Arts (NUA), located by the River Wensum in central Norwich, UK. Designed by Hudson Architects, it serves a variety of functions:
- Educational facilities: versatile teaching spaces, including a 300 seat production theatre that hosts both university events and public performances.
- Student accommodation: 100 en-suite student rooms, arranged in flats with shared kitchen and social spaces.
- Public space: The development has revitalised the riverside, offering a public plaza with stepped seating and enhancing the riverside walk for the community.
Completed in 2022, Duke Street Riverside has received recognition for its architectural excellence, including an award for Best Higher Education Building by the Architects' Journal.
Bus and train services are the best form of public transport to this location. Routs 25 and 26 on the blue line, are the best links which run frequently. Norwich railway station is approximately a 15 minute walk away offering regional and national rail services.
Accessibility
The venue is equipped with wheelchair access and lifts. The theatre has three spaces designated for wheelchair users.
