The Royal Parks Discovery Day: Impressive presses

Join our team for a day of learning about nature at the Hyde Park Learning Centre. A free event for families.

As part of the Meadow Madness discovery day, we will be making hexagon shaped flower presses to echo the shape of bees' home architecture. Make and decorate your very own press to take home and explore the other activities and storytelling sessions at the beautiful Learning Centre based in Hyde Park.

Discovery Days are designed for families. The activities are aimed at children from 3 to 11 years of age with a sensory activity suitable for under 3's and some more challenging activities that are suitable for those over 11 years (including the grown-ups).

Everyone is welcome, the grounds are accessible. Some events can be busy but there is always a designated quiet space, please ask staff for its location.

RIBA Learning on the Road

Our RIBA Learning programme provides exciting opportunities for everyone to explore, question, and celebrate architecture. As of June 2025, RIBA's 66 Portland Place is closed for a three year refurbishment. During this time Learning will continue to deliver events in collaboration with other cultural partners.

The Royal Parks

Covering over 5,000 acres of historic parkland, the parks provide beautiful green spaces right in the heart of the capital where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. No matter what your interests or age, there’s always something new to learn about, so they are on a mission to create meaningful lifelong learning and engagement experiences throughout the parks. Anyone can get closer to London’s nature and heritage with the programmes for schools, families, and adults.

Explore the magic of the Royal Parks, guided by an expert team and partners.
